ServetoServe Foundation (SSF) is a registered Private Voluntary Organization (PVO) with the government of Zimbabwe. As a non-governmental organization, we provide holistic support to homeless and disadvantaged children, as well as vulnerable women in our society. Our work also extends to supporting individuals affected by COVID-19 and HIV/AIDS. We strive to play a pivotal role in empowering individuals to reach their full potential in every area of life, driven by our vision of enabling children and women to become masters of their own destiny and positive leaders within their communities..
To achieve these goals, we offer self-empowerment programs, safe spaces, counseling, and referral services, especially for women and girls who have experienced gender-based violence (GBV) and emotional abuse. When medical care is needed, we facilitate referrals to ensure access to essential health services.
Our approach includes providing nourishment, personal development opportunities, skills training, and counseling, creating a foundation for personal growth and community transformation. Founded in 2018 and fully registered as a PVO in February 2023, we have already reached numerous vulnerable children and women, delivering essentials like food hampers, blankets, and educational support. We have assisted young underage mothers with safe childbirth by covering hospital bills, conducting capacity-building sessions for women centered on economic empowerment through small and medium enterprises, and offering counseling services to community members impacted by COVID-19. Our work is made possible through collaboration with both state actors, such as government ministries, and non-state actors, including NGOs. Together, we are building a stronger, more hopeful community, dedicated to uplifting and empowering those we serve.
